Most visitors who come to this hot spring are fond of boiling eggs in the pond or soaking their feet. The area surrounding the ponds are maintained and developed by the Council and facilities such as the huts for soaking and rest area bridge makes the Hot Spring Pool fascinating and beautiful. The temperature of the water can reach up to 104°C.
Although it is maintained like a park, it is not designed for footbath or baths, and you can only go to the source spring.
The Orang Asli (local Malaysian aborigines) village just about 5 minutes away from the hot springs. Here, we were able to experience local Orang Asli delicacies which they cooked just for us. Along with that, we also learned how to use the blow pipe and weave traditional head gears and grass skirts. Blow pipes were traditionally used by the Orang Asli’s for hunting, but these days hunting is done at a nearby market and the tradition of using the blow pipes is just kept alive as a tradition. You may even get a surprise gift from them…who knows? (wink, wink, nudge, nudge)
